Michael Martinez has done a wonderful job by putting together this study of Tolkien´s imaginary history. He explores Tolkien´s universe in detail and helps us analize the twelve books Christopher Tolkien published trying to make a coherent heap of his fathers notes. Am having a ball with this book as I dont seem to be able to let go of the stories behind the Lord of the Rings, and want to find out even more than what that great book had to offer. Martinez tone is conversational and extremely readable. I recommend this book to Tolkien´s fans.
